To increase reality of the 3-D virtual viewpoint experience, try closing one eye. Be careful not to cover your eye with anything as it will fool the eye-tracking.

Maybe you can put something else than bubbles to make it more interesting, so the user needs to peek behind something to reveal the message.
Would it be possible to track relative eye movement for panning camera?

I've been successful running this under VMWare (XP Guest / Ubuntu Host).
Using an ancient Intel CS110 webcam (XP's included driver)

The one application I would love this working for is Second Life :-D

Doesn't work for me. "... has encountered a problem and needs to close..." Pity( Using Windows XP Home. Net.Framework 3.0 installed. GeForce 9800, 2 Gb RAM, AMD Athlon X2 5200+. Logitech QuickCam. What's my problem? :(

GeForce 7300, 2GB RAM, 2.8 GHz processor

Very neat indeed! Worked first time, no problems for me.

It's a bit limited due to a lot of webcams' limited FOV (coupled with a 42" screen... *ahem* doesn't work too well) but it's cool to see this working in practice. There probably need to be better algorithms for dealing with the face going out of the picture, since it seems to just go off and do its own thing the moment it loses the face, otherwise it's a great start!
